516 Crater Lake, Oregon
Located in southwestern Oregon, Crater Lake was formed after the volcanic Mount Mazama erupted 7,700 years ago. Centuries of snow melt filled this crater to become United States deepest lake at 1943 feet. The deep blue color is the result of no streams or rivers flowing into it, so no dirt enters it.
